Hi my name is Mathew. I often pray for the homeless.  For my birthday in 2014, I decided I wanted to provide sleeping mats and blankets to those in need.  

I call them Luv Mats because each mat is inscribed with a message of love.

I’m so proud to say that The LuvMat Project has been a great success since 2014!  

Thanks to the huge amount of support from people that care, we have distributed hundreds of  sleeping mats, blankets, toiletries and more!

I am inspired by the South African word “Ubuntu” and the concept that we are all bound together in ways that are invisible to the eye; that there is a oneness to humanity and that we achieve ourselves by sharing ourselves with others and caring for those around us.
